Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you download or use the Raw Print app. Please read them. Using the app means you agree to them.

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Zahee Labs ("we", "us"), the developer of the Raw Print Android app ("the app"). By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

If you use the app for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Your download of the app through Google Play is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. Your licence to use the app

Raw Print is free. We give you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Android devices you own or control, for personal or business purposes, in line with these Terms.

Where we publish parts of Raw Print's source code under an open-source licence (such as the Apache License 2.0), that licence governs your use of that source code, and nothing in these Terms limits the rights it gives you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to:

  • break any law or regulation, including tax, consumer-protection and data-protection laws;
  • create fake, forged or misleading receipts, invoices, tickets or other documents, or commit fraud;
  • print material that infringes someone else's rights or that is unlawful, hateful or harassing;
  • interfere with printers, devices or networks you are not authorised to use;
  • distribute a modified copy of the app under the Raw Print name or branding in a way that could confuse people about who made it.

4. What you print

You are responsible for everything you print with the app, and for its accuracy. Raw Print sends content to your printer; it does not check prices, totals, tax figures or legal wording on your receipts.

If your receipts contain your customers' personal data, you are responsible for handling that data lawfully, including the print history stored on your device. You can clear the history at any time in the app.

Some countries have rules about what a receipt or tax invoice must contain, or require certified fiscal printers or software. Raw Print is not certified fiscal software. It is your responsibility to make sure your receipts meet the rules that apply to you.

5. Printers and hardware

Raw Print is designed for 58 mm and 80 mm ESC/POS thermal printers, but printers differ a lot and we cannot test every model. We do not promise that the app will work with any particular printer, phone or Android version.

Follow your printer maker's instructions for paper, power and care. You are responsible for your printer, paper and other supplies, and for connecting only to printers you are allowed to use.

6. Other apps and websites

Other apps and websites can send print jobs to Raw Print, for example through the share menu, Android's Print menu or web links. We don't control those apps or websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. You can block print jobs from other apps under Settings › Allow other apps to print.

When you print a web link, the content comes from that website and is subject to its own terms.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what the app stores on your device, the anonymous usage, crash and performance data it sends to Google Firebase (which you can turn off in Settings), and how we handle emails you send us. We never receive the content you print.

8. Ownership and trademarks

The Raw Print name, logo, app design and this website belong to us, except where an open-source licence says otherwise (see section 2). These Terms don't give you any right to use our name or logo.

Android and Google Play are trademarks of Google LLC. Raw Print is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the makers of any other app or printer mentioned on this site. Other product and brand names belong to their owners.

9. Updates and availability

We may update the app to add features, fix problems or meet new Android requirements, and some updates may change or remove features. We may also stop offering the app. Because the app runs on your device, a copy you have already installed may keep working, but we can't guarantee it will keep working with future Android versions or printers.

10. No warranty

The app is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted or compatible with your printer or device.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, sales, data, business or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including failed, delayed, incorrect or duplicate printouts, lost print history, or wasted paper.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which, because the app is free, is zero, or USD 10 where a law requires a minimum amount.

12. Your legal rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have by law that cannot be limited or excluded, such as consumer rights in your country, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If a law doesn't allow part of sections 10 or 11 to apply to you, that part applies only as far as the law allows.

13. Ending these terms

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may end your licence if you seriously break these Terms. Sections 4, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 15 continue to apply after these Terms end.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.

15. General

  • These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the app.
  • If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • You may not transfer these Terms to someone else. We may transfer them to another organisation that takes over the app, and it will be bound by them.
  • These Terms are governed by the laws that apply where we are established, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Before starting any legal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
